Frequently Asked Questions
How do I schedule a visit?
To schedule a visit, call 214-233-5495 or email info@youngathearthomefitness.com.
Do you provide an initial client consultation?
Yes, our initial phone consultation helps to ensure that the client and fitness specialist are a good fit. Additionally, we conduct a brief verbal assessment and go over medical history. After this call, a physical assessment will be scheduled. Learn more about Our Program.
Do I need a doctor's order?
While a doctor’s order is not required, we do recommend that you have been cleared to participate in an exercise program and advise us of any specific precautions.
How long do visits last?
Visit times vary depending on the needs and abilities of the client. A full visit typically runs between 50-60 minutes.
Do you bill insurance?
Young at Heart Home Fitness only accepts private pay in the form of e-check/ACH, Zelle, and major credit cards. Please visit Our Program for pricing information.
What is the missed visit policy?
Recognizing that everyone’s time is valuable and the appointment time is limited, Young at Heart requires clients to provide a 24-hour notice if they are unable to keep an appointment. Each time a client misses an appointment without providing proper notice, another client is prevented from being seen. Therefore, Young at Heart reserves the right to charge a $50 fee for visits canceled within 24 hours. For “no show” instances, where the Medical Fitness Specialist arrives at the client’s home without prior notification of cancellation, a full visit will be charged.
Do you provide physical therapy or occupational therapy?
Young at Heart Home Fitness does not provide physical therapy or occupational therapy services.
Our experienced Medical Fitness Specialists craft a personal exercise program, coach clients to a healthier and more active lifestyle, and help prevent injuries by ensuring proper exercise technique and safety. To learn more about our Medical Fitness Specialists, visit the About Us page.
What is a Medical Fitness Specialist?
A Medical Fitness Specialist assists in the transition from medical/healthcare management, including physical therapy, to a regular physical fitness program following a medical diagnosis, deconditioning, or surgery. They possess the skills and training to work with medical conditions that may include Parkinson’s, strokes, heart and lung disease, orthopedic injury, and Alzheimer's.
